She was only one of 42 recipients nationally and will receive three years of significant financial support. She is also featured prominently in the official HHMI press release and on the Berkeley BioE Department webpage.

July 2013: George receives a Predoctoral Fellowship from UC Berkeley's NIH-sponsored Stem Cell Engineering Training Program. This competitive award includes up to two years of significant financial support, specialized courses in stem cell technology and bioethics, and a short industrial internship. Congratulations!

June 2011: In January, Sanjay attended the BMES-SPRBM Conference on Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering, where he gave a talk and participated in a roundtable discussion on the future of the field. The BMES journal Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering has now published the meeting program and minutes of the roundtable discussion.

February 2011: Joanna is selected to attend the 61st Annual Lindau Nobel Laureates Meeting, which will be held in Lindau, Germany in June 2011 (details here). This is a highly selective meeting that gives 550 young researchers from around the world the opportunity to interact with 25 Nobel Laureates in Physiology or Medicine. August 2010: Anuj is named a Siebel Scholar! This award was established by the Siebel Foundation "to recognize the most talented students at the world’s leading graduate schools of business, computer science, and bioengineering." He is one of only 80 students nationally to win this award and will receive substantial financial support for the 2010-2011 academic year. Congratulations, Anuj!
