Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Kumar Laboratory
July 2020

Our research group is firmly committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).  We believe that people of all backgrounds and identities (including but not limited to race, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability status, citizenship, and socioeconomic status) belong in our group and deserve to feel safe, respected, and supported. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind.  We seek scientific dialogue that is critical, rigorous, and professional but not abusive, bullying, or demeaning.  Finally, we understand that we work in service of a broader society and do our best science when we welcome many perspectives and experiences.
